In 1963 Mexican Medical Inc. began in San Quintin, B.C.N., Mexico when Loran Long decided that to reach the people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ it would be helpful to first meet the physical needs of the people with the establishment of a hospital…; and over the years Mexican Medical Inc. has built, managed and turned over to the Mexican people many hospitals. In 1998 Healing & Hope International was established in Canada, to facilitate those in Canada who have a vision to help the underprivileged, especially those living in Mexico. Healing & Hope International is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of 6 members; and today we work in conjunction with Mexican Medical in various parts of Mexico. ‘Our Mission’ is still to bring the love of Jesus Christ and the message of salvation to people of Mexico, but our focus today rather than on building hospitals, it is on providing community based health care — and people from all over the USA and Canada are working together to fulfill this mission… And today we support several ministry locations in Baja California, Mexico as well as a hospital ministry in the State of Chiapas, Mexico.
